Day #15 - Best Moment of Favorite Ship: Steve lying for Danny in “Loa Aloha” (The Long Goodbye)

Why? They’re cops, they shoot people for each other and they have each others backs. We all know this, but this moment here… this was where, for me, Steve stepped beyond doing what his job required and acted as something more for Danny. He lied to the feds. He obstructed justice to allow Danny the chance to get to his brother first, and part of him had to know that Matt might get away. A criminal might get away, but he did all that for Danny. He risked getting arrested for Danny. That’s love in my book. Add in that moment of utter betrayal on Danny’s face when Steve was going to tell the feds…. these boys are in love. No questions about it.
